Scheduled - Kraken will be performing maintenance on their Spot Exchange website and API. During this time, trading and API access will be temporarily unavailable. Deposits and withdrawals initiated during the window may also be delayed. Sign-in and other non-trading features will remain available. Once maintenance is complete, markets will briefly enter cancel-only mode, then post-only mode before returning to full functionality.

Update - We’re beginning to observe some improvement in service stability as upstream cloud provider issues in the AWS US-East-1 region continue to recover. However, our systems are still not fully operational, and some users may continue to experience intermittent errors or degraded performance.
Our team remains engaged and is closely monitoring the situation while working to restore services to full capacity.

The issue is related to an ongoing AWS us-east-1 regional incident impacting several dependent services.

Any API endpoint that retrieves historical data may be affected — including endpoints for spot, futures, and options markets.
Some requests may fail, experience increased latency, or return incomplete results.

Investigating - We’re currently investigating an issue causing intermittent timeouts and slower response times across a subset of our Market Data endpoints. The degradation primarily affects certain Futures Order Book Snapshots and Trades endpoints, with additional minor impact on Spot Order Book and Reference Data requests.
